Our research forms the backbone of all of our work. It informs what we publish, where animal welfare standards need to be improved, and which institutions to target for protein transition campaigns. Furthermore, this page will be a source of education for the public and other animal advocates.
Making a Change
Research Projects in Progress
We are conducting a multi-country scoping review by surveying African stakeholders, including but not limited to, animal advocacy organisations, individual animal advocates, and African effective altruists. We also plan to conduct a meta-analysis of animal agriculture in Africa to understand the role and centrality of region-specific animal agriculture and animal welfare practices. Our survey analysis and systematic review will inform our decision to pilot two scalable, cost-effective and tractable interventions, which we will evaluate using cost-effectiveness analyses and weighted factor models.
