Animal Welfare Programs
Although dedicated to advancing the interests of all animals, given the scope of suffering endured by farm animals, much of our immediate focus will be on them. Changes in the way farm animals are treated will be pursued by both advocating for policy changes as well as working with those in the livestock industry. While we wish that no animal were reared for food, we recognise that lasting reform will only be achieved through incremental advances.
Our advocacy materialises in the following ways:

Animal Welfare
​We will always advocate in favour of the interests of animals and will never encourage people to eat animal products from conventional sources or ‘better meat’.

Animal Welfare Programs - Working with those in the livestock industry who have already made commitments to go cage-free and accelerating their shift towards ‘better meat’

The current focus is on farmed animals, which we intend to expand to companion and wild animals
PBO Status
Credence Institute ("CI") is a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO Reference #: 930068987) as set out in section 30(3) of the Income Tax Act No 58 of 1962 (the Act).
CI has been approved for purposes of section18A(1)(a) of the Act and donations to the organisation will be tax-deductible in the hands of the donors in terms of and subject to the limitations prescribed in section 18A of the Act.
